Georgian Airways is the only airline that maintains a non-stop connection between Amsterdam and Tbilisi. This bustling and beautiful capital of the former Soviet republic Georgia, is nicknamed ‘the Paris of the East’.

Next to the three flights a week from Amsterdam, Georgian Airways also operates two flights a week from both Frankfurt and Paris. The Georgian flag carrier has a fleet of modern Boeing 737-500’s that have a two-class configuration of economy and business class. Georgian Airways offers a full meal service in both classes, with excellent food and great local wines.

In 2009 the carrier added several new destinations to its network, such as Almaty, Odessa, Simferopol, Kharkov, Beijing and Budapest. From Kiev, a direct service to the resort town of Batumi on the Black Sea coast was opened. Besides expanding the network, the flights from Tbilisi to Yerevan have increased in frequency and are now operating twice a day. Recently, a new airport has been opened in Tbilisi that maximises the travelling comfort for both point-to-point and transfer passengers.
