Twice a week an Airbus A319 of Air Burkina departs from Paris Orly for Ouagadougou, the capital of Burkina Faso. Flights take place on Wednesdays and Saturdays.

Air Burkina was founded in 1967 by the Burkina Faso government and Air France, and operated under the name Air Volta. In 2001 the company was privatised and it is now part of the Aga Khan Development Network. Air Burkina works closely with Compagnie Aérienne du Mali and Air Ivoire, codesharing on each others flights from Paris to several African destinations. Air Burkina also has close ties with Celeste Air and Norse Air, with whom they codeshare on many domestic and African routes. Air Burkina maintains an extensive regional network including Abidjan (Ivory Coast), Bamako (Mali), Bobo Dioulasso (Burkina Faso), Cotonou (Benin), Dakar (Senegal), Lomé (Togo) and Niamey (Niger). These flights are operated with a fleet of environmentally friendly Fokker 28’s.

On board the comfortable Airbus A319 Air Burkina uses on the Paris-Ouagadougou route, there are 188 seats in economy class and eight in business class. The leather seats in business class can recline 145 degrees, but in economy class passengers also have ample room to relax. The excellent menus on board are carefully designed to include the culinary delights from all the different countries serviced by the airline.
